RESEARCH
& COMFORT ZONE
- September, 2001 - Formed a club so that Lake Wildwood
residents, who own motorcycles, could get together for rides
over the many country roads here in the Foothills. And, quite
honestly, we also wanted to recruit LWW's motorcycle riders to
see what type of "Bikers" lived within our Community.
We found a bunch of nice people - most of whom are Professionals
and Business Executives, both active and retired, and most have
very nice bikes.
- August, 2002 - Applied for Club Sanctioning to
legitimize our Club. We wanted to provide an ongoing forum for
current and future owners of street legal motorcycles to share
a common interest, to help each other, to learn and practice
good motorcycle safety and to provide services for the community,
where possible, as a nonprofit organization. We also wanted to
provide an opportunity for Residents of Lake Wildwood to get
to know us and to gain a comfort level with us.

- December, 2002 and each
year since - With the
endorsement of the Lake Wildwood Board of Directors, the Lake
Wildwood Motorcycle Club participates in the Annual Nevada County
Food & Toy Run - a nonprofit, charitable event which directly
benefits needy families in Nevada County at Christmas.
More than $7,000. worth of toys/games/stuffed
animals, nonperishable food items and cash donations are collected
each year. Donation boxes are placed at the Administration Office
and the North Gate of Lake Wildwood during the 3 week period
prior to the Event. Paul and Susan Piper organize this effort,
each year. Donations from residents and friends of Lake Wildwood
continue to increase from year to year.
- March 2003, June 2004 - Town Hall Meetings called to discuss
Motorcycle Access. Concerns expressed were in three categories
- Noise, Security Issues and Younger Riders.(Click Here to Continue)
